Users of measuring instruments are increasingly demanding flexibility. This trend does not necessarily put many product solutions with different performance into the "all-in-one" category, but rather pushes for "modularity."
The efficiency of a process depends largely on whether it is instrumented or not. This controls and standardizes predetermined process safety and quality. At the same time, these meters should be economically efficient.
In this context, WIKA has introduced a new precision digital pressure gauge for test and calibration tasks, the CPG1500, with a standard version that can be upgraded with the full range of functions on demand, or a single option.
Highlights List
Measurement Stability
The basic precision measuring instrument uses a thin film sensor with an accuracy of 0.1% of the range. Instrument debugging and instrument parameters can be determined through an intuitive menu navigation system.
durable
All process connections are made of stainless steel, while the IP65 housing is made of nickel-plated die-cast aluminum, making it suitable for harsh environments.
Energy conservation
To minimize routine interruptions during operation, the CPG1500 can be switched to Sleep mode. In this mode, battery life can be extended to 2,500 hours.
Leak detection
Around the "Set pressure", the "Minimum/maximum" function is also available for leak detection alarms. Measurement below the limit indicates leakage. This method can be used to test pipelines after construction and during later maintenance.
Enclosure protection class IP65
Other applications
Analytical measurement
In addition to the on-site display, the CPG1500 can be fitted with a data logger that can record and store up to 50 measurements per second. With large capacity storage, data can be accessed for a long time. With the addition of the recorder and WIKA-Cal software, the applications of digital pressure gauges can be further expanded - for example, for controlling the transport of temperature-sensitive chemicals or compounds in tank trucks.
Inferred temperature change
The recorder records an accurate map of pressure peaks, which can in turn be used to infer temperature changes. With the software, you can directly view and immediately evaluate the logger operation in the form of a series or bar chart. The data is all transmitted wirelessly via the WIKA-Wireless function, which helps to query and analyze pressure at hard-to-access measurement points.
A large part of the important applications of explosion protection involve explosive process hazards. The durable construction of the CPG1500 can also meet the requirements of different applications, and users can choose the internal safety of the ATEX, IECEx and CSA certified CPG1500.
calibrate
The principle of modularity still applies to these conditions, and in addition to controlling process pressure, the CPG1500 is also suitable for calibrating analog pressure gauges in the field. This task can be accomplished with a complete access kit (CPG-KIT).
